Koikeya is a known Japanese company making high quality potato chips. Could you tell this was salt and vinegar flavor? Cause I couldn’t, until the first bite took me by surprise. I assumed the yellow stars were just confetti celebrating 25th anniversary, and expected plain original flavor.
Instead, it’s a sharp vinegar taste. The sourness is comparable to apple cider vinegar, and tastes like lemon juice. Leaving your mouth with a slight tartness. Texture is the star of this chip. Sturdy and hard like kettle cooked, but shatters like sharp glass at the first bite. Perhaps it was cooked at ultra high temp considering all the bubble pieces.
