Korean Rice Wine Cracker (Onion Flavor) is the first Korean snack of this flavor I ever seen. By the way, Happy Friday! Celebrating it with an alcohol….flavored? snack. I bought these because I love crackers. But I don’t like rice wine. However I like onion flavor. In conclusion, 2 pros vs 1 con means majority wins.
These had a nice toasty cracker smell like yanyansticks (Asian biscuit sticks with chocolate or strawberry dip). The texture is lighter and airy-er than those deep fried noodle toppers on oriental salads. At first it tastes like bread, then you feel a slight burn as if you drank rice wine. Which I’m okay with.⠀⠀
However, I like my savory snacks in flat pieces like potato chips. Because thin twig shaped snacks doesn’t have a good mouth feel. They require too much tongue effort in directing it to specific section of your mouth for processing. Which results in losing focus on the product taste. Unless of course you eat handful at a time. But that’s like eating a pineapple, skin on.⠀⠀
