I found this Instant Vietnamese Pho Noodle gem at Grocery Outlet as well as on Amazon. I love eating pho, but making it at home isn’t easy. So it was a no brainer to buying this. However, I was skeptical seeing all the “no msg, brown rice, vegan, & non gmo” which is opposite of how Vietnamese restaurants usually make it.
But, I was wrong. The impressive soup packet instantly created a rich fried garlic broth with hint of lemongrass. Each strand of noodle’s outer layer is smooth while inside is scratchy because it’s brown rice. Unfortunately it couldn’t withstand my 15min photoshoot and got soggy. Needless to say, I liked the taste and healthy concept, but wouldn’t be my first choice for its nearly $2.50 price and portion.
